Welcome to your private getaway at the Retreat at Rosebush Creek . Your home away from home in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Ten minutes from the heart of downtown Grand Marais and only 20 minutes from Lutsen Mountain and Ski Resort. Our cottage is conveniently located on a private, 8 acre lot, offering treetop views of Lake Superior as well as seclusion within the woods, surrounded by elegant trees which line the driveway and provide a perfect setting for a well deserved get away. The house is nestled next to a small ravine from which it gets it’s name….Rosebush Creek. Rosebush Creek is often a dry creek bed but in the wetter months it gently comes alive. There are small pools of water which are created along it’s path which are fun for young and old to explore.
Our cottage is located within Superior National Forest and is well suited for outdoor adventurers as it offers convenient access to the Superior Hiking trail (29 min. walk from our front door / 5 min. drive), access to over 32 miles (52 KM) of groomed cross-country ski trails just minutes from downtown Grand Marais and miles of convenient mountain biking and snowmobile trails. We are located within 11 minutes from the Cascade River State Park. Hike along the shore and discover waterfalls, beaches, and scenic views. Our cottage also appeals to those who enjoy the simple conveniences and comforts that can be found at higher-end luxury hotels.
The Retreat at Rosebush Creek offers all the benefits of a true get-away without sacrificing the conveniences of being located within minutes from downtown Grand Marais, which has three large grocery stores, amazing restaurants, gift shops, spas, and so much more.

Cuisinart Coffee Center, 4-in-1 Coffee maker: Brews 12 cups of fresh coffee, or go solo with single serving K-Cup coffee (an assortment of coffee and tea pods are provided). The coffee maker even features a single serve Nespresso espresso pod so that you can create a variety of espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, and more with the steam wand for frothing milk

Walk out to our lower level patio which features a porch swing for those lazy afternoons. Care for a little yoga, stretching, or floor exercises? Two large yoga mats are provided with sanitizing wipes to wipe down mats before and after use. A variety of resistance bands are also provided.
Perfect office for working remotely features wrap around desk with two work stations and printer (paper and additional ink cartridges provided)

Our cabin provides a bonus sleeping room or getaway space. There is no plumbing in the cabin, so guests using this space use the main house bathrooms. The cabin is never rented to another party but simply provides an additional room if needed.

This room is fully heated and comfortable in cold weather. Large casement windows are located on three sides of the room and the ceiling fan makes the space very comfortable even on warmer days.
The Owner's storage room is attached but not accessible from inside the cabin room. Please note that for guests safety and comfort, there are no flammable or noxious liquids of any kind stored in the storage room.
Steps from the main house, the cabin offers a private get-away for those who may want to wake on their own schedule.
